We are looking for a Sr. HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Stores Canada team. The Sr. HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role providing strategic Human Resources support to Senior leaders based in the US and Canada. This role will be a part of a fun, passionate and dynamic HR and business team and requires strong team collaboration across multiple locations, HR centres of excellence and Seattle HR teams. This role is critical in executing Canada people initiatives by providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence. This role will also have an opportunity to lead or contribute to Canada-wide initiatives focused on site health and employee experience working with the country leader.

Key Job Responsibilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate :

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
  • Capability of managing complex projects or programs, coordinating activities, reporting to various stakeholders and making high judgement decisions.
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Advocating local perspectives that impact Canada.
  • Experience with a rapid and complex changing work environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring senior management levels.
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • The ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves."

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in progressive HR leadership roles with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
  • Able to travel, as needed.
  • Experience working with a global team.
  • Experience assessing leadership talent.
  • Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations.
  • 3-4 years HR experience in a high tech environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation.

The base salary for this position ranges from $81,900 / year up to $136,800 / year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
