We are looking for a Sr. Finance Director to join us in our Canada Insights to Impact (I2I) team, comprised of Operational Excellence, Finance & Procurement, based out of our office in Oakville, Ontario, CA.

About the role

The Finance Director acts as an independent member of the local leadership team, playing a critical role in strategic decision-making and ensuring the implementation of global processes and policies in Finance, Operational Excellence, and Procurement. He/she drives the finance strategy of the Canadian affiliate.

Who you’ll work with

This individual will be the central point of contact at the Canadian affiliate level and the local representative interacting with Global for Finance, Operational Excellence, and Procurement.

What you’ll do

  • Drive resource allocation and value creation discussions within Patient Impact.
  • Facilitate a performance management culture and act as a trusted partner to the GM and Canadian Leadership Team.
  • Ensure quality input in processes like strategic planning and budgeting. Drive forecasting consistency and validate asset assumptions at the Intercontinental East level.
  • Collaborate with all I2I teams, GBS, consolidation, strategy, portfolio, Talent, Procurement, Supply Chain, Global Treasury, and Tax.
  • Lead finance strategy and represent Finance at the affiliate Leadership Team.
  • Act as a finance business partner for the GM and direct reports, guiding achievement of financial objectives.
  • Maintain data quality, analyze and present financials accurately and timely, oversee financials and business cases, including pricing, and facilitate resource reallocation.
  • Coordinate and lead annual budgeting and planning, monitor progress, and keep leadership informed.
  • Update and implement business policies.
  • Review and approve contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Provide a holistic view of performance by integrating FP&A and OE activities.
  • Deliver insights to maximize asset performance.
  • Support business reviews with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Manage CLRM tools, including maintenance, data privacy, updates, training, and reporting.
  • Ensure sales force effectiveness strategies and processes are in place.

Qualifications and experience

  • 10+ years of executive leadership experience.
  • 10+ years in finance, with a proven track record in financial planning and achieving objectives.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; effective team player capable of building credibility and confidence.
  • Proven team management skills and ability to influence through expertise and active listening.
