A leading mining company in Saskatchewan is seeking a Mine Engineer to contribute expertise to mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mine engineering, 7-12 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in mine design software. Responsibilities include developing mine plans, ensuring safety, and leading technical teams. This role offers a competitive compensation package and a rotational schedule.
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
As part of the McArthur River team, you will contribute your mine engineering expertise to support operations in mining a challenging orebody. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and effective production through thoughtful planning and technical guidance. The McArthur River operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
