TPD® Workforce Solutions is seeking a Sr. Embedded DevOps & Software Verification Engineer for a fast-moving aerospace/ EVTOL organization. You will own CI/CD pipelines, automate verification for embedded flight software, and collaborate across systems and software teams in a hybrid work setting.

You will design automated test infrastructure, translate requirements into verification tests per DO-178C, and drive coverage analysis. VPN access to toolchains and strong scripting are key for success.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software verification.
• Strong understanding of SCM and CI/CD methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency scripting in Python and/or shell for test automation, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Experience developing and executing requirements-based verification tests, including structural coverage analysis.
• Experience in hard real-time systems, built-in-test, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, bare-metal development, and communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI).
• Comfortable reading electrical schematics, documentation, and datasheets, with experience using electronics lab equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently or within a team.

Aufgaben

• Own and continuously improve the CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and toolchains used to compile, test, and release embedded flight software.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test infrastructure for requirements-based verification of embedded software running on bare-metal ARM microcontroller targets.
• Partner with systems and software engineers to translate system-level requirements into verification test cases, test procedures, and objective test evidence consistent with DO-178C.
• Develop scripts and tools (Python, shell, etc.) to automate build, test, static analysis, structural coverage, and release processes.
• Measure, analyze, and report on software verification metrics (statement, decision, MC/DC, data/control coupling) and drive closure of coverage gaps.
• Support integration and verification of low-level embedded software with model-based code generated through MATLAB Simulink.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with software execution characteristics such as worst-case timing and memory margin.
• Manage software configuration management (SCM) processes, version control workflows (Git), branching strategies, and change control.
• Maintain and improve build and test environment reproducibility using containerization and/or virtualization technologies.
• Perform peer reviews and continuously improve software development, verification, and DevOps processes and plans.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software verification using C or C++.
• Strong understanding of SCM and contemporary software build, integration, test, and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency scripting in Python and/or shell for test automation, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Experience developing and executing requirements-based verification tests, including structural coverage analysis.
• Experience in hard real-time systems, built-in-test, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, bare-metal development, and communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI).
• Comfortable reading electrical schematics, documentation, and datasheets, with experience using electronics lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers).
• High energy, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a passion for the aerospace/EVTOL industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently or collaborate deeply within an integrated team.
