Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Merchandising Specialist to optimize the online shopping experience and drive growth. The role focuses on site operations, end-to-end customer experience, and data-informed decision-making to support business goals.

About the Role

As Carter’s expands its digital channels, we’re seeking a collaborative, customer-focused Senior Site Merchandising Specialist with an analytical mindset. This self-starter will use data and technical tools to solve problems, optimize the online shopping experience, and support business growth through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • 50%: eCommerce Site Operations & Strategy Lead workload flow for all bottom of the funnel initiatives Own and become a super user of the Product Management System, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Contentful, and Constructor Oversee end to end site experience from a customer perspective. Proactively looking for opportunities to make digital experiences friction less for customers and support evolving business goals Performs daily site scrubs, trouble shoots and resolve issues independently. Act as the subject matter expert for Item Master/ Product turn on/ Stock not Live processes, by providing direction and support to Site Merchandisers, who own and execute the creation and maintenance of these files. Challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies
  • 30%: Cross-Functional Collaboration Participates in weekly site refreshes ensuring that all linking, destinations, and merchandising needs are met Reviews recommendation zone and sort order rules, tracks changes over time, and reviews analytics to make data-informed decisions on when changes are needed Partner with our international team (US and Mexico) to identify unique needs (i.e. translations, attributing, content etc.) to ideate and implement solutions. Train teams on new and improved system features and functionality. Lead team through troubleshooting, fixing errors and partnering with Product Management to request new capabilities and improvements
  • 20%: Leadership & Development Plan, execute and maintain training for the broader team, including buying team, on any new site initiatives or functionality Hold stakeholders accountable to deadlines and give feedback ensuring deliverables align with the strategy/project goals Mentor site merchandisers and site merchandising specialists Work on special projects as assigned
Must Have
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, especially in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and have strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be flexible, and to prioritize
Preferred Skills
  • 3-5 years of prior Ecommerce experience required
  • Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Retail experience preferred, especially in children’s clothing
