What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Define and implement the Cyber Security Strategy for the employer, enhancing the security posture and compliance objectives
- Manage the bug bounty program and assess security measures for new features before launch
- Perform incident response and root cause analysis for security incidents, creating an Incident Response Plan
- Conduct regular audits of cloud infrastructure and manage vulnerability scans for all systems
- Lead and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure robust security practices
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, including penetration testing, incident response, and security architecture
- Strong knowledge of technical security controls across cloud, web applications, and compliance frameworks
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing and security patch bypass testing
- Familiarity with ISO27001, ISO27018, NIST 800-53v4, and SOC2 audits
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, MIS, or equivalent experience is desirable but not required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, and Golang
- Familiarity with tools like Jira and various cloud services (AWS, Heroku, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of GDPR compliance and legal considerations in cybersecurity
- Previous experience in a startup environment with a focus on growth and adaptability
