Job summary

Smart IT Frame LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps engineer to own hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and on‑premises. The role emphasizes hands-on CI/CD ownership, infrastructure automation, and security integration within an ITIL-based environment.

The ideal candidate has deep AWS/Azure expertise, strong IaC skills (Terraform, Ansible), and experience securing scalable, highly available systems. You will mentor teammates and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT industry experience across Cloud and DevOps.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture and administration.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS or Azure services.
• Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Automating provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Leading security integration and IAM scoping for cloud environments.

Job description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for securing, automating, and operating enterprise-grade hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments. This role is hands‑on and focuses on CI/CD platform ownership, infrastructure automation, security integration, and production reliability, while operating within a structured ITIL-based support and change management model.
• The engineer must partner closely with application, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems across all environments. This role also contributes to DevSecOps standardization, continuous improvement, and mentoring within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS or Azure services.
• Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Automating the provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Leading the integration of security protocols, including SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and IAM role scoping.
• Optimizing CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub, to ensure automated, repeatable deployments of middleware-based applications.
• Managing enterprise middleware stacks, JBoss, Spring Boot, Node.js, within AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments.
• Configuring and managing advanced traffic management and load balancing solutions, F5 LTM, AWS ALB/NLB.
• Implementing comprehensive monitoring and observability, Dynatrace, Site24x7, across hybrid cloud deployments.
• Acting as a senior point of contact, L3, for complex production issues, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Partnering with security teams to ensure cloud environments and DevOps components meet strict regulatory compliance standards.
• Providing on‑call support on a rotation basis to ensure high availability.

Candidate Profile

• Comprehensive IT industry experience across Cloud and DevOps, 10 years.
• Deep technical expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture and administration.
• Strong hands‑on experience with JBoss, Apache Web Servers administration.
• Proven track record of using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management, Ansible, Terraform.
• Expert knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing, F5, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience in containerization and orchestration, Docker, EKS/AKS/OpenShift, as it relates to middleware modernization.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and SCM, Git/GitHub.
• Experience operating within an ITIL framework in high‑availability regulated enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
