Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Sr trade compliance analyst in Markham, Ontario, Canada. As a member of the North American Trade Operations team, Canada based, the Sr analyst will provide support in managing the customs compliance processes for import and export for the JJMT and Innovative Medicine businesses in alignment with corporate policies and government regulations. Critical interfaces are Trade Operations, Supply Chain Deliver and J&J business Management Teams, GTTO regional and global Teams, Distribution teams, J&J partner companies, logistics and customs brokers suppliers, Canada Border Services Agency and Other Government Agencies, Global and Regional Trade Controls teams, source company international specialists, and professional organizations.
High School diploma or equivalent is required; college diploma or university degree is preferred.
5 years of experience in Transportation and/or Trade Compliance Operations.
Experience with Six Sigma / Process Excellence / Lean methodology and tools is required; certification preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Advanced technological aptitude (especially with Microsoft Office Suite, data mining, ERP systems).
Customer focused – able to work directly with customers and partner companies to identify requirements and meet needs.
Consultative approach in providing logistics expertise and recommendations.
Balances short- and long-term challenges with the ability to focus on key initiatives.

Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Certifications in CCS, Plog, CITT is preferred.
Up to 10 % travel may be required
