Position Overview:

Viral Nation is seeking a highly creative and agile Social Media Copywriter to join our dynamic creative team. This is more than just a writing role; it's an opportunity to be at the forefront of social media storytelling. You will be responsible for crafting compelling and effective copy across a wide spectrum of social media touchpoints, from the conceptualization of integrated marketing campaigns to the witty one-liner that makes a TikTok go viral. You'll be a key player in shaping the voice of our clients, ensuring that every word is on-brand, on-trend, and optimized for maximum engagement. This role demands a deep understanding of the nuances of each social media platform and the ability to work at the "speed of social." You are a confident self-starter, able to generate brilliant ideas independently, but also a collaborative powerhouse who thrives in a team environment. You see AI not as a threat, but as a powerful creative partner, and you're excited by the prospect of using AI tools to push the boundaries of what's possible in social media copywriting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute best-in-class social media copy for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Work with fellow Creatives and Strategists to brainstorm and develop creative concepts that are social-first and captivating.
• Craft compelling, error-free copy for integrated social media marketing campaigns, that effectively communicates key messages, promotes brand awareness, and drives engagement.
• Craft attention-grabbing captions for daily social posts, tailoring the tone and style to each platform and audience.
• Optimize copy for social media platforms, considering character limits, hashtags, and other platform-specific features to maximize reach and visibility.
• Work with agility and confidence, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Analyze the performance of your copy and use data-driven insights to iterate and improve.
• Stay at the forefront of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
• Embrace and actively utilize a suite of AI tools and agents for research, brainstorming, headline generation, copy variation, and performance prediction to enhance your creative output and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 4-6 years of experience as a copywriter, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in social media marketing.
• A deep and demonstrable understanding of all major social media platforms and what makes content successful on each.
• A passion for social media and a genuine interest in the latest trends and cultural moments.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for crafting concise, impactful copy.
• Impeccable spelling, grammar and editing skills
• Able to interpret data from marketing campaigns to create compelling messaging
• Detail-oriented and hyper-efficient with time management
• Adhere to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all social media copywriting activities.
• A proven ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to changing priorities.
• A strong interest in and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and its application in the creative field. Experience with AI copywriting tools (e.g., Jasper, Copy.ai, Writesonic) is a significant plus, but a willingness to learn and embrace these technologies is essential.
