Overview :

We’re looking for a Controls Engineer to design, build, and support control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. You’ll be involved in every stage of automation projects—from planning and design to programming, testing, and long-term support.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and lead the development of control systems for automated machinery.
  • Handle all stages of a project : planning, programming, electrical design, startup, and testing.
  • Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to define system requirements.
  • Select appropriate components like motors, sensors, controllers, and actuators.
  • Review and update electrical schematics.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and servo drives.
  • Start up and troubleshoot new systems and ensure they meet performance goals.
  • Support and improve existing equipment and control systems.
  • Manage timelines and coordinate technical resources for controls-related tasks.
  • Update control software to support process upgrades and safety improvements.
  • Help create and maintain standardized control software templates and documentation.
  • Ensure all systems meet safety and industry standards

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with automated systems and control integration in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of motion systems, sensors, pneumatic controls, and operator interfaces.
  • Proficient in programming motion controllers, PLCs, and HMIs (Ignition, Red Lion preferred).
  • Experience with PID control and tuning.
  • Skilled in reading and creating electrical schematics.
  • Familiar with industrial communication protocols like Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA, EtherCAT, and Ethernet / IP.
  • Knowledge of safety standards
  • Understanding of electrical power systems and control panel design.
  • Experience with documentation : calibration procedures, manuals, software guides, etc.
  • Bonus : Familiarity with scripting or database tools (e.g., Python, Java, .NET, SQL) and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Must be physically able to sit or stand for extended periods without sensory or mobility impairments.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
