Job summary

CIBC in Canada is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead complex integration of trading platforms, risk systems and market data feeds. You will design scalable architectures, APIs and data pipelines, leveraging Python, SQL and cloud platforms.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect.
• Experience integrating trading platforms, risk management systems, and market data feeds, including API design.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and possibly C++ or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization.
• Strong data analytics and modeling with Tableau/Power BI.
• Awareness of security, privacy and regulatory requirements including trade surveillance.

- **Technical Expertise** - Apply your knowledge of financial products, systems integration, programming, cloud platforms, data analytics, security, and architectural frameworks to deliver best-in-class solutions.- **You bring significant architecture experience**. You have at least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect, leading complex projects and delivering impactful solutions.- **You're skilled in systems integration**. You have experience integrating trading platforms, risk management systems, and market data feeds, including API design and implementation.- **You have strong programming and scripting abilities**. You're proficient in languages such as Python, SQL, and occasionally C++ or Java, with the ability to build data pipelines and automate tasks.- **You understand cloud and infrastructure**. You bring knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.- **You excel in data analytics and modeling**. You have skills in data analysis and visualization (using Tableau, Power BI), and experience with quantitative modeling and risk calculations.- **You're aware of security and compliance**.
