What Youll Be Doing

As the Sr. Consultant Process Optimization for Canadian Banking, you will join CIBCs Chief Administrative Office (CAO) and contribute to a team driving business process change and modernizing procedures for the Wealth Management businesses. You will engage relevant partners and users; initiate processes and client journeys; assess client and stakeholder impact; and implement recommendations to radically simplify how we do business and serve our clients. You will review, update, and distribute internal procedures to front-line employees, and assist in the dissemination and maintenance of supervisory reports to support an effective control environment. This role will enable you to drive and manage strategic optimization initiatives focused on effective cost management, ensuring successful delivery within budgets, tracking benefits, and monitoring the sustainment of strategic initiatives within thresholds, escalating where appropriate.

How Youll Succeed

Process Optimization - Analyze, design, and implement process changes across Wealth Management, focusing on simplification, consolidation, and automation of high-impact opportunities to enhance frontline productivity while ensuring processes align with risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Support strategic initiatives from the Process Optimization Executive Steering Committee (ESC), delivering enhancements that improve operational effectiveness. Scope and implement AI use cases to drive operational efficiency.

Procedure and Knowledge Management - Develop and maintain effective procedures and knowledge management systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Design strategies to capture, store, and disseminate business knowledge across Wealth Management. Monitor and evaluate these practices, partnering with SMEs, and recommend improvements aligned with CIBC's risk appetite and regulatory standards.

Project Management - Collaborate with Business, Technology, Risk, Training, Legal, and Compliance teams to implement process changes successfully, ensuring adherence to regulations and alignment with client service strategies. Lead updates to internal procedures, keeping them current and compliant.

Relationship Management - Develop and manage relationships with executives and leaders, providing advisory and consultation on upcoming process changes and procedural updates. Communicate impacts of optimization activities, considering regulatory and strategic connections, and managing their impact on clients and frontline teams.

Who You Are

You demonstrate strategic thinking with strong technical expertise. You can quickly grasp complex contexts and translate them into clear documentation. You have experience in planning strategic initiatives and executing process improvements.

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is an asset.

You possess influential negotiation skills, capable of addressing concerns of multiple interests and leading decision-making in complex situations.
