What you’ll do

  1. Participate in customer-facing and internal projects, leading or assisting with the technical engineering and operationalization of data protection solutions.
  2. Architect, engineer, and implement data protection solutions using various assessment tools and technologies.
  3. Troubleshoot performance, redundancy, configuration, and incident issues.
  4. Assist with customer change requests and escalate to vendor support when needed.
  5. Cross-train team members and document new solutions, tools, and practices.
  6. Evaluate new products/services for internal use and stay updated on industry developments.
  7. Perform documentation for compliance and transition to managed services.
  8. Work independently and with other consultants to deliver solutions.
  9. Understand business impacts of solutions and develop standardized and custom technical solutions.
  10. Lead project delivery, chair meetings, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  11. Lead deployment and configuration of enterprise solutions, maintaining security and integrity.
  12. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and support cases.
  13. Provide training, guidance, and create project documentation.
  14. Mentor other consultants and participate in meetings and administrative tasks.
  15. Complete training and certifications as required.

What we expect of you:

  • Knowledge of IT market trends and technology insights.
  • 7+ years in IT, with 5+ years in backup and recovery software (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, Rubrik, Dell).
  • Deep understanding of backup and recovery capabilities.
  • At least two certifications related to backup and recovery or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in implementing backup and recovery solutions in large enterprise environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot in complex environments and pass a background check for government security clearance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Eagerness to deliver positive business outcomes and excellent customer service.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience as a consultant or in customer-facing technical roles.
  • Experience managing enterprise services and understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Relevant certifications in networking or disaster recovery products.
  • Knowledge of data replication and disaster recovery services like Zerto, Azure Site Recovery.
  • Skills in Linux/Unix/Windows/Solaris administration, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of licensing, web services, and scripting languages such as Python and Terraform.

Pay range: $113,000 - $135,000, depending on experience and skills.
