As an integral member of the Frontline and Distribution Analytics team at CIBC, reporting to the Director, Platform Insights, the Senior Consultant, Business Analytics will lead the design and delivery of insightful and actionable analytics and visualization solutions, related to data generated from the frontend tools, and provide operational and tactical support in managing the data analytics environment for Business Performance and Insights. The Sr. Consultant is accountable for supporting the needs of Platform Owners, Lines of Business, Client Strategy, and Channel partners.

Analytics & Reporting – Lead the delivery of fact-based dashboards and reporting tools to influence decisions and identify gaps. Go beyond the numbers to provide insightful product, business, customer, client, and segment analysis. Contribute to the development and management of a reporting/analytical intake process.
Presentation – Research data layers, uncover insights, and share findings with the business using comprehensive dashboards and analysis with effective data visualization techniques. Provide insights to enable informed decisions, forecasting, planning, and execute analytics initiatives with recommendations for new integrations.
Stakeholder Management – Collaborate and communicate PSB (please add the full name) Frontline analytics strategic priorities. Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to gather critical information on management techniques, client issues, strategic priorities, business challenges, and project requirements. Develop ad hoc analyses to address key issues, utilizing structured and unstructured data sources, and share insights with diverse audiences.
Degree: A University degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, or Computer Science. An MBA or CFA is an asset.
Experience: 5 to 7 years in data modeling with large datasets, including structured and unstructured data, with strong SQL, SAS, Excel, and Databricks skills.
Visualization Skills: 3 to 5 years presenting data and identifying key trends using Tableau and/or Power BI.
Data Interpretation: Proactively ask questions, investigate complex problems, evaluate data objectively, and turn analysis into clear insights for stakeholders.
Communication: Confidently communicate detailed information in an impactful way, supporting decisions and driving change.
Attention to Detail: Notice nuances others might miss; apply critical thinking to inform decision-making.
