Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our growing IT team at Marsh . This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and architecture, with a focus on designing and deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based solutions. You will be involved in implementing innovative technologies to engineer cloud platform services, container orchestration technologies as well as CI/CD automation. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the desire to work with teams that are passionate about innovation and creating amazing client experiences.

We will count on you to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Develop and implement cloud migration strategies to move existing on-premises workloads to OCI
  • Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, including architecture diagrams, process diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure that cloud solutions meet industry and regulatory standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues
  • Stay current with OCI services and industry trends to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for cost, performance, and reliability
  • Mentor and train other IT team members on OCI best practices and cloud architecture


What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, OR Work Experience with Certifications
  • Experience working in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Associate or Professional Certification
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, or serverless computing
  • Experience with OCI IaaS and PaaS services
  • Understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VCN
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge and experience working in AWS is a plus.
  • Coding and DevOps experience: Python, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub, GitOps, Pipelines
