The Cloud Platform Engineer is a vital contributor to the development of the next generation of web-based products and services. As a key member of our client’s Software Engineering team, this role requires expertise in AWS and close collaboration with skilled software, QA, and DevOps engineers.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly motivated, and committed to automation, security, and high availability. Familiarity with iterative Agile methodologies is advantageous. Significant experience with AWS and cloud technologies is essential.
Core Responsibilities
Architect and lead the migration of software and products to AWS.
Design, maintain, and enhance software solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost-efficient.
Serve as the bridge between Infrastructure & Operations and Engineering teams.
Provide systems support by responding to monitoring alerts as needed.
Collaborate with developers and security engineers to implement robust security features.
Continuously refine and modernize the CI/CD pipeline.
Develop and integrate test automation into the delivery process.
Advance system architecture and infrastructure design.
Work closely with development and QA teams to automate operations and streamline processes.
Build, manage, and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Monitor applications, web services, and database access for anomalies; propose solutions to enhance availability and performance.
Continuously improve application monitoring, alerting, performance management, and metrics for payroll systems.
Research, evaluate, test, and implement new technologies, tools, and standards to enhance productivity and application quality.
Stay updated on industry best practices in Cloud technologies and DevOps.

Stay updated on industry best practices in Cloud technologies and DevOps.
8-10 years of relevant experience in developing and managing robust production systems with high availability.
Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems (preferably Red Hat).
In-depth experience in architecting, implementing, and managing AWS environments (e.g., EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, RDS, ElastiCache).
Proficiency with CI/CD build tools and pipelines.
Experience supporting highly available database environments.
Familiarity with open-source technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Strong advocate for a DevOps culture; thrives in collaborative environments.
Proven ability to manage projects effectively while meeting milestones.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in creating technical documentation.
