Base pay range:

78,000.00 / yr - $107,000.00 / yr

This position will be responsible for resolving moderate to high complexity and exposure claims, which may involve disputes requiring mediation or litigation. The primary purpose is to handle claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, ensuring timely and accurate resolution while mitigating indemnity and expense exposure. Communication with stakeholders is essential. The role involves increased decision-making authority, minimal oversight, training responsibilities, and serving as a technical resource for team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle moderate to high exposure general liability BI and PD claims, requiring legal or litigation experience.
  • Analyze complex coverage issues and communicate positions.
  • Investigate loss facts and damages.
  • Manage outside counsel and expert assignments.
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine exposure.
  • Set reserves within authority or recommend reserve changes.
  • Negotiate and settle claims.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings.
  • Adhere to Fair Claims Practices regulations.
  • Participate in projects and assist team members.
  • Travel as needed for mediations, trials, and conferences.
