Responsibilities

The Sr Cash Processor handles all aspects of cash application by posting to proper accounts via electronic or manual matching for all PC Connection companies. Prepares and delivers training to new hires and/or backup staff on processes that include refunds, cash entry (check/ACH/Wire), credit card, prepaid orders, chargebacks, and adjustments. Provides reporting on the number of credit card transactions, NFS checks, wire, ACH/EFT payments, net priorities, and charge off detail. In addition, based on the tracking of cash application errors, suggests process improvements. Monitors the cash applications to the prepaid accounts for open balances (tax, freight, price, returns, etc.) and resolves issues as required. As a lead processor, supports the Director with staff supervision by coordinating the proper backup coverage of responsibilities by person for the department as needed during scheduled absences. Reports issues to the Director through daily communications.

  • Accurately handles all incoming cash and reviews processes for improvement.
    • Prepares deposits and posts payments to customer accounts.
    • Applies payments either electronically or manually to correct accounts.
    • Sets up credits for refund check processing.
    • Ensures accuracy of postings and works with Director on resolution of issues.
    • Communicates impact of issues to team as needed.
  • Provides reporting on the number of credit card transactions, NFS checks, wire, ACH/EFT payments, net priorities, and charge off detail.
  • Prepares and delivers training for new hires or backup on the following processes.
    • Creates process documents for the following procedures: Refunds, Cash Entry, Check, ACH, Wires, Credit Card, Adjustments.
  • Assists Director, Credit and Collections with supervision of cash processing team.
    • Coordinates backup coverage during scheduled absences including the person and responsibilities assignments.
    • Leads by example for effective communication, daily turnaround rate, and errors.
  • Reconciles Credit and Collections accounts receivable.
    • Works with General Accounting and Finance to balance accounts.
