Job summary

Rogers Communications is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to shape the Digital products roadmap for Connected Home. You will guide end-to-end design, write specifications, and collaborate with Product Owner, IT and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You’ll analyze user stories, refine acceptance criteria, and support production rollout while ensuring high-quality communications and documentation across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development preferably as a Business Systems Analyst in Agile and Waterfall development.
  • Experience building scalable distributed systems with service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience in UML diagramming.
  • Experience in SAFe, Scrum and Kanban preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize information into concise, logical summaries for audiences of varying levels of technical background.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced high tech customer service-oriented environment.
  • Superior skill set, including analytical thinking and problem solving, presentation and facilitation and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Support the technical roadmap for the Connected Home portfolio by understanding and influencing overall solution design to align with the channels strategy.
  • Work with Product Owner and business stakeholders in analyzing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria.
  • Perform impact assessment on applications and processes.
  • Lead JAD sessions, collaborate with Architect, IT and development team in designing complete end-to-end solution that meets the ask and is forward-looking.
  • Create, own and maintain detailed functional, design, API and Solution specifications that satisfy user requirements and adhere to development standards.
  • Assist with the implementation of new programs or systems into the production.
  • Collaborate and provide oversight to Development, QA, BRT teams to ensure delivery of complex changes in both agile and waterfall programs.
  • Post implementation support and review.
  • Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions.
  • Takes ownership for high quality internal, external, ITS and business unit stakeholder communications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of templates, procedures and processes as part of the continuous improvement and development.
