Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing schedules
  • Collaborate with external/internal teams, coordinating workflow, providing documentation, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide variance analysis to support project managers and the Controller
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports on a weekly basis, monthly basis and/or as needed
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance by providing necessary reports, schedules, and documentation
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 15+ years’ experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience supporting senior finance leadership (Controller or CFO)
  • Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and budgets
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks is required
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Strong relationship management skills are required
