About The Role

Are you passionate about building cloud-based security solutions? Do you enjoy solving complex problems in high-volume environments? CrowdStrike seeks a Senior Engineer II - Cloud to develop our Next-Gen SIEM platform, focusing on detections and UEBA capabilities that handle trillions of events daily. You will design and implement scalable features that empower organizations to defend against cyber threats effectively.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development of cloud-native microservices for our SIEM platform, focusing on detection and UEBA capabilities.
  • Own complex projects, making technical decisions and guiding architecture using collaborative tools like Miro.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to enhance threat detection, define solutions, and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Utilize technologies such as Go, Kafka, Redis, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL to build scalable solutions.
  • Optimize existing systems for stability and performance, using monitoring tools like Grafana.
  • Mentor junior engineers, participate in interviews, and promote technical excellence.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through best practices like testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Lead technical discussions and influence broader product strategies.
  • Provide operational support for production, including on-call rotations.
  • Manage tasks effectively in a high-trust environment using Jira.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in software development with cloud-native and distributed systems experience.
  • Expertise in programming languages like Go (preferred), Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing large-scale data processing systems.
  • Knowledge of security, threat detection, and UEBA principles.
  • Proven leadership in technical projects.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset for cross-team work.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
  • Familiarity with SIEM or log management solutions.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Kafka, OpenSearch, Spark.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI in cybersecurity.
