Sr. Associate, Consumer Promotions Strategy
About the Team

The Consumer Promotions Strategy team uses data-driven insights to conceptualize, launch, and optimize promotional campaigns aimed at acquiring, activating, and retaining consumers on the DoorDash platform across in-app and CRM channels. We manage performance metrics related to incremental volume and efficiency from promotions and oversee the promotional budget for Canada.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to lead our consumer promotional campaigns and engage our users. You will execute high-visibility campaigns across in-app and CRM channels to drive growth and optimize through experimentation and A/B testing. Your role involves analyzing consumer data to derive insights that inform engagement strategies and influence key success metrics. Creativity in developing offer constructs, in-app surfaces, and messaging is essential.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Promotion Strategy, on our Consumer Retention Marketing team.

  • Work with complex data sets to uncover insights and influence consumer order rates positively.
  • Develop and launch promotional campaigns, including targeting, offer constructs, and in-app surfaces to enhance activation, order frequency, and retention.
  • Conduct experiments and A/B tests to understand incrementality and optimize the consumer lifecycle.
  • Analyze data to balance in-campaign growth with long-term retention, customer lifetime value (LTV), and payback.
  • Report weekly campaign performance, perform deep dives, and prepare campaign readouts.
  • Collaborate with Strategy & Operations (S&O), CRM, Analytics, Product, and Brand Marketing teams.
  • Address weekly trends by recommending data-driven tactics and surfacing trade-offs to improve conversion or volume.

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in pricing and promotions, growth marketing, marketing analytics, management consulting, or business analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL (intermediate to advanced), with the ability to write queries from scratch to extract data and insights.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to generate actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Experience with dashboarding tools such as Mode, Sigma, or Tableau.
  • The ability to see the big picture ('why') and execute at a detailed level to achieve key metrics.
  • A strong bias for action, balancing accuracy with speed.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $76,000 to $108,500 CAD, depending on location and experience. Compensation is localized accordingly.
