Sr Analyst, Upstream Finance Decision Support & Planning

This position is required to be on-site and is located in Saskatoon, SK.

Reporting to the Manager, Nitrogen Financial Decision Support & Planning.


What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Plant Finance, Commercial, and Capital teams to support development of detailed five-year plans for the Upstream operating segments
  • Provide guidance, insight and support on a range of financial analysis, including scenario analysis, business reviews and other ad hoc requests
  • Complete reviews of competitor financial and operational performance and provide strategic insights to stakeholder groups
  • Calculate and understand the key financial metrics and targets for our operating segments, with the ability to provide insights to leadership
  • Processing and validating the integrity of data from various financial systems to be used for analysis
  • Use data analytics to assist in uncovering key insights that lead to better informed decision-making
  • Responsible for preparation and presentation of information to senior leadership
  • Be enthusiastic, curious and have a strong desire to learn

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years of related and progressive work experience in a business or financial analysis role
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Completion of a post-graduate designation such as a CFA, CPA, CBV or MBA
  • Superior analytical skills with capacity to identify, scope and solve complex problems
  • Experience in designing and utilizing financial models
  • Experience in working with cross functional groups within an organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences, including senior leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other programs (Power Query, Power BI, SAP, HANA, Oracle, etc) would be considered an asset
