A leading global quick-service restaurant company in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Canadian Tax. This role involves handling tax reporting, preparing tax provisions, and supporting government audits. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 1-2 years of corporate income tax experience. Strong analytical skills are essential. Offering a competitive salary between $90,000 - $95,000/year.

About the Opportunity
  • Routine tasks (30%): Assistance with monthly cash payments and cash analysis for various Canadian companies.
  • Quarterly work (40%): Tax reporting and preparation of tax provisions.
  • Special projects (30%): Correspondence with the CRA, restructuring modeling, and other ad hoc projects.
  • Support preparation of outsourced Canadian income tax and information returns
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual Canadian tax provision
  • Assist with government audits, prepare responses to queries, and review assessments
  • Prepare tax instalments, analyze tax account balances and prepare journal entries
  • Assist with reorganization projects, including research, and coordination with advisors
  • Assist with international planning and related tax calculations (FAPI, surplus, tax basis)
  • Assist with department budgeting
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 1 - 2 years of corporate income tax experience in public accounting or large corporation
  • CPA designation or Masters in Taxation preferred
Salary Range

$90,000 - $95,000/year
