Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Analyst - Transaction Accounting & Capital Markets to join a leading consulting firm in Montreal. You will collaborate with external finance leaders to address accounting and finance challenges, supporting acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, and standards implementations.

This hybrid role is based in downtown Montreal. You will plan and participate in engagements, assess processes, and design training to improve governance and financial reporting for

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of FAAS process improvement & optimization experience.
• CPA auditor or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years external auditing experience.
• Strong familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP accounting.
• Experience with IPO, M&A, and divestitures.
• Experience in a consulting environment with private and public companies.
• Fully bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in engagements researching the application of accounting standards to various transactions and governance processes.
• Assess financial and governance processes across different organizations.
• Support transitions to a new accounting framework and benchmarking practices.
• Create customized training and guidance for clients.

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Analyst - Transaction Accounting & Capital markets to join a lead consulting firm in Montreal. The ideal candidate will work with external finance leaders to address the ongoing challenges and changes their business is facing, and manage the resulting impacts on the Accounting and Finance functions. You will work in partnership with them to help them reach their full potential, particularly in the context of acquisition, divestiture, restructuring/optimization, or accounting standards implementation and convergence projects. In addition, you will provide clients with innovative business advice and guide improvements to business processes. More specifically, you will be expected to: Plan and participate in a variety of engagements (research on the application of accounting standards to various transactions, assessment of financial and governance processes, support in transitioning to a new accounting framework, benchmarking practices across different organizations, designing customized training, etc.). This role is a hybrid position based in downtown Montreal.
