Sr Accountant

Vaco of Highspring is staffing directly for a Senior Staff Accountant opportunity in south Jacksonville for a large manufacturer. This role is full time, on-site, reporting to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly close process, including journal entry preparation, royalty calculations, financial statement compilation, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Analyze financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies across ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processes, including preparation and posting of related journal entries for wages, taxes, and benefits.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow projections to support decisions on dividend distributions and foreign currency purchases, delivering actionable insights to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 or more years of full cycle accounting experience
• ERP system experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced functions)
