Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Senior Account Manager to expand our customer base in targeted areas at our headquarters in San Jose, CA. The Senior Account Manager will maintain the quality, efficiency, and integrity of Supermicro's sales process through marketing activities and collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic sales goals and execute plans to meet sales targets
  • Make outbound cold calls to potential customers, achieve lead and appointment quotas, and handle objections effectively
  • Qualify opportunities and create target lists for vertical markets
  • Build relationships and communicate product and market information professionally
  • Report opportunities to the OEM Sales Director with appropriate details
  • Monitor inventory, negotiate prices, process orders, address credit issues, and manage returns
  • Serve as backup for the manager when needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience; prior experience in the tech industry is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of and experience selling server, storage, or related software solutions to cloud, enterprise, or embedded markets
  • Experience working with C-level executives and large data centers is preferred
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and analytical skills for market research
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication skills across disciplines, cultures, and geographies
