Qualifications

Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the SQF Practitioner/HACCP Coordinator will manage and coordinate all aspects of the SQF and HACCP programs for Cavendish Appetizer’s Wheatley facility. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, a 'Can Do' attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Quality System and keep documentation up to date.
  • Train site personnel on HACCP and other food safety programs.
  • Verify processing, packaging, and QA operator documents daily; resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct foreign material investigations.
  • Prepare customer product summaries.
  • Coordinate sample requests for customer testing.
  • Evaluate product quality and assist in disposition of held products.
  • Conduct sanitation and GMP inspections at critical points, identify contamination sources.
  • Document test results and communicate findings to Quality and Production Managers.
  • Assist with customer and external audits.
  • Follow safety standards and health policies.
  • Maintain laboratory and shelf life testing records accurately.
  • Work on projects assigned by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Laboratory Technician with analytical and microbiological methods.
  • SQF Practitioner certification.
  • HACCP Coordinator certification or qualifications.
  • PCQI Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a food processing facility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software.
