Mercedes-Benz Edmonton West is looking for a Sprinter Service Technician in Edmonton!

As a key member of our team, the Sprinter Service Technician brings to life the ultimate service experience. The Sprinter Service Technician performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses faulty operations, and repairs new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles. They will identify mechanical problems using computerized equipment and communicate effectively with advisors and management to complete work orders in a safe and timely manner.

Remuneration:

• Starting wage between $38-$40 per flat-rate hour + a yearly retention bonus (earning potential well over 100K)
• Signing Bonus

Shift required: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
2. Inspect and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment on vehicles, recording findings for necessary repairs.
3. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
4. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services needed and provide repair time estimates.
5. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
6. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training to stay updated with rapidly changing technology.
7. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
8. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Journeyman Red Seal certification.
2. Strong automotive background.
3. First Aid and WHMIS certification are assets.
4. Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on high customer service standards.
5. Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
6. Working knowledge of shop equipment.
7. Willing to submit to a background check prior to employment.
