What you will do

The Sprinkler Installation Manager is part of our Building Technologies & Solutions division at Johnson Controls. You will manage the daily operations of our branch construction installation projects with local customers, joining a highly successful branch.

How you will do it

  • Manage daily functions including overseeing teams, operations, forecasting, and business growth under general direction
  • Coordinate with sales to analyze customer requirements and contractual obligations, determining the best Tyco (JCI) application
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction by maintaining effective communication from initial order to warranty period
  • Deliver high-quality work at the lowest possible cost within approved financial plans, managing costs, receivables, and profitability
  • Support activities related to submittals, engineering, technical support, CAD operations, installation schematics, equipment delivery, purchasing, scheduling, labor planning, and business issues such as bonds, insurance, and approvals
  • Manage installation requirements, including material procurement, project scheduling, and subcontractor management, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure technical installation support, including programming and system operation according to specifications and codes
  • Set performance goals, motivate employees, and conduct performance reviews, implementing training and development as needed
  • Support sales efforts to serve customers better, grow the business, and increase sales volume
  • Handle personnel actions, including hiring, transfers, and terminations, and maintain a positive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, conduct safety training, and address hazards promptly

What we look for

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of project management leadership experience
  • Trade certification and/or degree
  • Management and leadership skills including team building, training, presentation, and negotiation
  • Driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Experience in sprinkler systems or related trade experience
