Sprayer-Floater Operator (Seasonal September 15 th - November 25 th , 2026)

For our Agro Department located in Brandon, MB

The Sprayer-Floater Operator is responsible for the safe and effective application of crop protection products while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient operation. This position plays a key role in supporting our agricultural customers through equipment operation, regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance, and operational excellence while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product knowledge, and order processing; collaborate respectfully with Team Members to support a positive work environment and deliver a World Class Customer Experience.
  • Safely operate spray equipment and accurately apply crop protection products in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and all applicable regulations.
  • Load sprayer tanks, mix agricultural chemicals as required, maintain spray records, and ensure accurate documentation of product applications.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains safe, efficient, and operational.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, environmental, loss prevention, and security procedures.
  • Work closely with the Agro Manager, Supervisors, and Team Members to support operational goals, meet customer needs, and maintain Heritage Co-op Brand Standards.
  • Participate in seasonal operational activities and perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Agro Centre.
Education and Experience:
  • High school education is considered an asset.
  • Previous agriculture, sprayer operation, or farm equipment experience is considered an asset.
  • Customer service experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of agricultural chemicals, crop protection products, and chemical mixing procedures.
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence preferred.
  • WHMIS training is required or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development within the agriculture industry.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and operating agricultural equipment for extended periods.
  • Customer Focus: Provides exceptional customer service and builds positive customer relationships.
  • Communicates Effectively: Shares information clearly, listens actively, and adapts communication style to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborates: Works effectively with Team Members and contributes to shared goals and operational success.
