As an Associate Account Manager, you will serve as a product consultant within the Surgical product portfolio, specializing in soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, knee, hip, and small joints.

What will you be doing?
- Achieve sales targets for the Sports Medicine division in collaboration with other sales teams.
- Develop and present effective territory/account sales strategies for management approval.
- Maintain market and account analysis models, forecast business accurately considering market size, pricing, competition, and other insights. Develop strategies to enhance sales and market share across all product lines.
- Implement therapy promotional and sales programs in partnership with marketing, education, clinical, and training teams.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to promote the Smith+Nephew brand and image.
- Coordinate with Account Managers, Territory Managers, and other business units regarding territory activities.
- Set guidelines for the country/district/territory to optimize resource utilization and service delivery.
- Contribute to regional initiatives and support strategic programs' implementation.
- Assist with Medical Education programs to support healthcare professional training.
- Establish relationships with Key External Leaders (KELs) to stay informed on product performance, market trends, and opportunities.
- Develop and execute tender management strategies for RFPs, quotations, contracts, and inquiries to secure new business and maintain existing relationships.
- Participate in key industry events and congresses as needed.
- Support clinical teams during procedures as required.
- Provide “on-call” support for orthopedic cases, including evenings and weekends, as scheduled.
- Manage stock levels, including consignment and capital equipment, within the territory.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
What will you need to be successful?
- Understanding of selling in community and academic hospital settings.
- Ability to sell within a value-based healthcare system using CRM tools and account management strategies.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Travel requirements: Within the territory with 2-4 overnight stays per month; occasional national travel for events and conferences.
All field sales roles requiring access to healthcare facilities must complete our credentialing process, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.
