About This Team: The Product Innovation team infuses the lululemon apparel business with new ideas, new technologies, new understanding, and new products. With a diverse and passionate team of innovators, our leading human and material research infrastructure, and the pioneering Science of Feel innovation philosophy, the Product Innovation team ensures that lululemon remains at the forefront of the sport, exercise, and lifestyle apparel industry.

As the Sport Science Manager within our Elite Athlete Performance team, you will be directly accountable for establishing and implementing a world-class sport science capability that supports the performance of lululemon athletes and ambassadors and informs the future of performance apparel.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver performance services to lululemon athletes, applying physiological, biomechanical, and data-driven insights to optimize training, recovery, and competition readiness.
  • Build trusted relationships with athletes, coaches, and experts to design and implement individualized programs that unlock athlete potential and drive measurable gains.
  • Coordinate a global network of sport science and performance partners, ensuring access to best-in-class expertise and facilities.
  • Collaborate with product, innovation, and brand partners to translate athlete insights into performance-led design opportunities and clear, compelling stories that inspire action across teams.
  • Minimum 20% travel per year.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in high-performance sport, with a proven track record of supporting elite athletes to competitive success at the highest levels.
  • Demonstrated success operating within athlete-centred innovation environments, ideally in partnership with or within corporate brands, navigating complexity while shaping strategy, systems, and delivery.
  • Master’s or PhD in sport science, biomechanics, physiology, kinesiology, or a related discipline.
  • Comfortable working across ambiguity and scale, connecting long-term vision with tactical execution across diverse athlete performance initiatives.

Compensation And Benefits Package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200 - 156,500 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and subject to program eligibility requirements.
