A leading ski resort in British Columbia is seeking Sport School Instructors & Trainers for the Winter 2025-26 season. Applicants must have relevant teaching certifications and be passionate about snow sports. Qualifications

Sport School Instructor & Trainer (Level 3-4)

Are you a certified ski or snowboard instructor who loves to share the stoke? We are looking to hire Sports School Instructors for the Winter 2025-26 season! There are full-time and part-time positions available in both disciplines. One of the best features of our Resort is the incredible teaching terrain, offering ideal progression from beginner to intermediate levels to ensure success, alongside a welcoming team and 3 mountains to play on! Compensation Information: $24.25 to $40.00 per hour (depending on certification and experience)

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

Required Skills:

  • Professional and current teaching certification with a nationally recognized organization (CSIA, CASI, BASI, APSI, or other National equivalency).
  • Proficient use of spoken English.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills with all age groups of guests.
  • Polished interpersonal/motivational skills and highly organized.
  • Proven track record in tourism guest services and as a team player.
  • Legally able to work in Canada from November 2025 to April 2026.
  • Willing to submit to an RCMP criminal record check.
  • Undertake required daily duties as per Sun Peaks Resort LLP operating guidelines.
  • Comply with the Alpine Responsibility Code.

Preferred Skills:

  • Second language skills are an asset (e.g. German or Spanish).
  • Extended sales training and/or experience is an asset.
  • Dual or Multi snow sport certification (e.g. CSIA and CASI).
  • Several seasons’ previous kids lesson snow sports teaching experience.
  • CSIA “Teaching Children” or national equivalent kids teaching module.

Physical Requirements:

  • You must be physically able to fully undertake teaching responsibilities pertinent to your certification level and discipline in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Able to work outside in all winter weather conditions.
  • High degree of physical fitness. Free of injuries that may obstruct daily duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teaching duties relative to certification and experience in one or more of the following programs: Kids Groups / Schools / Locals / Adult Groups and Privates / Instructor Training / Nordic / Freestyle coaching / Weekly Events.Full list of programs at: http://www.sunpeaksresort.com/
  • Direct product marketing to guests.
  • Operate according to the code of conduct and values statement of SPR LLP and the Snow Sports School.
