The Team
The Courtenay Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Team is a diverse and experienced group of professionals dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children, teens, and their families. Our team is made up of 12 clinicians and one psychologist. Our composition includes early years specialists, teen-focused practitioners, and a high-risk outreach clinician, with a dedicated intake team and the capacity for psychological assessments. As an established and highly respected team, we work with some of the most complex mental health cases in the Comox Valley. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and our team is known for its kindness, mutual support, and deep knowledge base, ensuring that we provide exceptional care to our clients.
The Role
As a CYMH Clinician, you will work directly with children and families, creating assessment and treatment plans for those with moderate to severe mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include providing individual and group counseling, and collaborating with contracted psychiatry when necessary. This role has a significant impact on the lives of the children and families we serve, as we are known for offering timely care and receiving positive feedback from both families and the community. About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 1 day a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
