The Team
Our dedicated Indigenous Child Safety Team, is an established group of professionals committed to providing culturally safe and trauma-informed services to children, youth, and families. Our team includes five social workers, a social work assistant, and a roots practitioner, who collaborate with various specialist, including resource social workers, child and youth mental health clinicians, and community professional to support families in partnership with Indigenous communities and Elders. Together, we work to create a respectful and inclusive environment that honors Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and practices.
The Role
The Child Protection Worker, IVP (Intimate Partner Violence) serves families experiencing intimate partner violence with children and youth that are serviced through Circle 5. The work involves responding to complex cases arising out of intimate partner violence and child protection needs. The position is highly collaborative which enhances the ability to obtain information in a timely manner and plan for families proactively and efficiently. Those who are passionate about working with Intimate Partner Violence are encouraged to apply. The incumbent(s) must be able to work collaboratively while handling crises and emotionally charged situations.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until 01/31/2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
