You will be challenged to help students discover the conceptual building blocks and relationships that underpin mathematics. The training you will receive as a Spirit of Math teacher will deepen your understanding of math and stretch your abilities as an educator.

Educational Requirements :

A degree from a recognized college or university is necessary. A Bachelor of Education degree is an asset but not mandatory.

Responsibilities :

• Foster a high-trust learning environment, develop students' values and math skills, and build strong relationships with parents.
• Effectively manage the classroom to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Adhere to the Spirit of Math teaching methodology and administrative system.
• Deliver lessons to students.
• Grade students' assignments, tests, and exams.
• Build and maintain relationships with parents.
• Address issues related to students’ performance and behavior.
• Draft report cards three times per year.
• Manage assistant teachers as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of grades and attendance.
• Perform peer evaluations periodically.
• Attend professional development sessions several times per year.
