Job summary

Sysco Richmond is seeking a Warehouse Associate to process raw materials, wash and spin dry, and operate food processing machinery in a wet and cold environment. You will handle raw materials, transfer them, and assist in quality inspections.

The role is physically demanding, with lifting up to 70 lbs, working in a noisy production area, and complying with food safety policies. Prior warehouse or food processing experience is an asset; education not required.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in food processing or warehouse distribution is helpful.
• Experience operating power equipment such as a forklift is an asset.

Purpose

This position handles raw material processing including washing, spin drying and operating food processing machinery. This is a physically demanding role which requires working in a wet and cold environment.

• 0-1 years of experience
• Previous experience in food processing or warehouse distribution considered an asset.
• Previous experience operating power equipment such as a Forklift is considered an asset.

Physical Demands

• High repetitive stretching, lifting and bending.

• Repetitive handle 50 to 80 lb (70%).

• Organize product includes transportation by pallet jack in production area and wrapping pallet (10%).
• Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.
• Wet and cool environment (4 to 7 degrees Celsius, 100%)
• May require operating Rider and Manual pallet jack.
