Job summary

LocumTenens.com, LLC is seeking a warehouse order picker to support production in a fast-paced environment. You will stand, walk, bend, and lift while ensuring accurate order selection and proper handling of products.

The role requires operating pallet jacks and voice-directed picking systems, coordinating with teammates, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards in a cold production area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order selection.
• Willingness to work in cold production environments and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Palletize and organize finished products for easy access.
• Organize finish product cooler and put away at end of production.
• Monitor product quality and report discrepancies.

• Handle finish product and raw material at shift end.
• Follow Sysco food safety policy and procedures.
• Operate safety-mindedly with attention to hazards and spills.
• Assist in training new selectors on safe practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting. It also requires remembering details of products and customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Palletize and effectively organize finished products.
• Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.
• Vigilantly monitor product quality.
• Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order competition.
• Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.
• Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
• Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
• Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Operation:

Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.

Teamwork:

May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures. Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.

Certifications:

Forklift certification preferred. Voice-directed picking system training preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Experience:

2+ years of experience

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive lifting from 5 lb to 50 lb (50%).
• Organize products including transportation by pallet jack in production area and wrapping pallet (50%).
• Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.
• Cold environment (1 to 7 degrees Celsius, 100%)
• May require operating food processing machinery, Rider, Manual pallet jack.
