Reporting to the Director of Care, the Student Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, onboarding, orienting, and supporting student placements within the long-term care home in accordance with the Ministry of Health regulations, the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, and organizational policies and procedures. The Student Placement Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the home and educational institutions, ensuring a positive and meaningful learning experience for students while supporting the development of future healthcare professionals. The role is responsible for maintaining partnerships with educational institutions, coordinating placement schedules, supporting preceptors, and promoting employment opportunities within the home.
