The Opportunity

Position Summary:
Responsible for working under the direction of the team Speech Language Pathologists to provide therapeutic programming to clients focused on helping them to achieve their discharge goals. The focus of this position is support of recovery of communication and swallowing abilities. This position works as part of the therapy team to contribute to the client's quality of life by providing appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Program Summary:
Neuro Rehabilitation Program – for adults who have had a neurological injury, such as a stroke, and require additional assessment, recuperation and rehabilitation before returning to the community.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Graduation from an Accredited Therapy Assistant program.
  2. SLPA Training preferred.
  3. PT/OT training considered for candidates with interest in communication and swallowing recovery.
  4. Previous experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
  5. Experience with computers preferred.
