Job summary

Portage Regional Health Centre in Portage la Prairie is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support delivery of speech and language services in Adult and Children & Youth programs.

Under supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assist with program operations, scheduling and related tasks, with travel to regional facilities as needed. This term position runs 09/01/2026–03/31/2027 and involves in-person work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited recognized Communicative Disorders program.
• Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of speech-language services within the Adult and Children & Youth Services programs.
• Assist in Rehabilitation Services program operations (scheduling, filing, photocopying).
• Exercise initiative and independent judgment in prioritizing work and handling unusual matters.
• May travel to other regional facilities as duties require.
• Follow mission and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
