The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education. This permanent position involves collaborative work with educators to support students with communication needs. Candidates should have a Master's degree in a related field, relevant certifications, and experience in varied school settings.

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

• Professional development in Speech Language Pathology.
• Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting.
• Experience administering and interpreting standardized assessments.
• Experience in facilitation speech pathology related professional development sessions.
• Experience providing direct support to non-verbal students.
• Experience providing support to school staff in the form of contributions to program plans and classroom implementation of strategies.
We are part of the collaborative professional team with Student Services consisting of Speech Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, SchoolsPlus Staff, Student Services Consultants/Autism Support Teachers and Severe Learning Disabilities Teachers andResources Teachers. Responsibilities include collaborative consultation with school based teams, informal and formal assessment, development of program plans to increase student success for those students with communication needs and provide treatment. Furthermore, the Speech-Language Pathologists work closely with teachers,Teacher Assistants, Administrative Staff, other professionals and parents.
