Job summary

St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Therapy Services team on a full-time temporary basis.

Reporting to the therapies manager, the SLP identifies and assesses communication and swallowing disorders and develops, implements and evaluates treatment programs to maximize patient outcomes. Preference for HSAS members per SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• Requires Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP).
• Eligibility/registration with SASLPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop, implement and evaluate habilitative or rehabilitative treatment programs to maximize patients' communication and/or swallowing function.

Job Description : Reporting directly to the manager of therapies, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for identifying and assessing communication and swallowing disorders, and appropriate developing, implementing and evaluating habilitative or rehabilitative treatment programs to ensure each patient achieves their greatest potential level of communication and/or swallowing function. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
