Speech Language Pathologist (Casual) - East Toronto (2024-1710)

Join us at Closing the Gap Healthcare as a Speech Language Pathologist (Casual) in the East Toronto area. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care across home and community settings.

Position Details

Location: Thorncliffe, East York Area

In this role, you will work independently with adult clients in their homes and via virtual sessions. You will have flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to use a variety of therapy skills to improve client well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments in home settings using standardized tools.
  • Develop care plans for clients with neurological or speech/swallowing difficulties, based on evidence and best practices.
  • Balance face-to-face and virtual care to suit client needs, maintaining independence while receiving support and training.
  • Collaborate with clients’ families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on care goals and plans.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized Post-Secondary program in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
  • Organizational skills, flexibility, and good communication abilities.
  • Multilingual skills are an asset.
  • Experience in home-based services is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome.
