We have a permanent full-time opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at the Kelowna General Hospital. This position supports outpatient communication through the Outpatient Neurorehabilitation Program (ONRP) for four days a week and is assigned to acute care one day a week. Days of work are Monday to Friday from 08:00-16:00.
The SLP is an autonomous professional with expertise in typical development and communication disorders, including assessment and intervention. The SLP may work directly with clients and/or with caregivers or others interacting with clients to create environments that promote optimal communication. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and overall goals of the department/program, including quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.
