Job description

Join Fueling Brains Education Services, a private Community-based Early Childhood Services provider funded through Alberta Education, in delivering impactful early intervention programs to children benefiting from Program Unit Funding and Mild/Moderate funding at Fueling Brains Academy centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language delays or disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech and language goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to enhance receptive/expressive language, articulation, phonology, and social-pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals to create a holistic support system.
  • Use play-based, child-centered approaches to engage young learners.
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to parents, preschool teachers, and FB Education Services staff.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
  • Registration in good standing with ACSLPA.
  • Experience in pediatric speech and language assessment and treatment.
  • Ability to mentor therapy assistants and work collaboratively.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance with $2,000,000 liability.
  • A willingness to travel between locations.
  • Preferred, but not required: Familiarity with PUF contracts and experience within Alberta Education.
