A leading company in diagnostics is seeking a Specimen Technician to prepare patient specimens and manage client interactions. Specimen Technician - Hospital - Boston, MA - Monday - Friday 3:00PM-10:30PM
The Hospital Specimen Preparation Technician (HSPT) is responsible for daily preparation of patient specimens from hospital clients. The HSPT must demonstrate mastery of all functions of specimen preparation for submission to multiple Quest Diagnostics facilities, as well as Rapid Response Laboratories (RRL). The HSPT works with minimal direction. Additionally, since many changes occur from day to day, great flexibility is required. The majority of HSPT work is on the day shift, but flexibility is needed for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on client requirements.
Pay Range: Minimum of $19.61+ per hour; Employee may be eligible for a shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.
Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
