The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre, a member of VCA Canada, is currently seeking a full-time Supervisor for Specialty Tech Assistants to join our team.
The C.A.R.E. Centre is a fully functioning referral hospital, with board-certified specialists in a wide range of referral services including internal medicine, critical care, surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, emergency, and dentistry/oral surgery.
The C.A.R.E. Centre is committed to supporting pet owners and the veterinary community by providing the highest level of animal emergency and referral care. The successful candidate will support and direct the Specialty Tech Assistant team in a professional and compassionate manner, responding effectively to client and co-worker questions. Veterinary experience is required for this role.
The Specialty Tech Assistant Supervisor will collaborate with hospital leadership to promote a positive hospital image and strive for continuous improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional responsibilities include:
Schedule: This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling options. The role comprises approximately 50% clinical work within the Specialty service and 50% administrative duties.
