Specialty Sales Consultant – Portfolio Management

About the role:

As a Portfolio Consultant, you are the face of our customer experience approach, building deep relationships that deliver value for customers and patients to drive sales growth ethically and compliantly. You support the execution of portfolio strategies, drive territory sales performance, develop business plans, deliver digital offerings, and maintain key customer relationships.

The role reports to the Associate Sales Director and collaborates with the cross-functional team. This is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential customers through data analysis to influence attitudes and drive sales growth.
  • Engage in value-based conversations (in-person and virtual) to understand customer challenges and decision drivers.
  • Deliver customer-centric experiences, understanding healthcare environments and needs.
  • Promote Novartis’ portfolio in Respirology, Dermatology, Cardiology & Oncology with relevant data and messaging to support healthcare decision-making and patient outcomes ethically.
  • Develop and implement data-driven cross-functional business plans.
  • Leverage data sources to create and adjust territory and customer interaction plans dynamically.
  • Collaborate with teams to address unmet customer and patient needs ethically and effectively.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency, adhering to Novartis’ Code of Ethics and Values.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related specialty sales experience with a strong achievement record.
  • Results-oriented, customer-focused, with excellent execution skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and planning abilities.
  • Energetic, curious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and professional.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in Cardiology or Oncology is an asset.
  • Experience in the Edmonton territory is an asset.
